The treatment process used to prevent large-volume materials from damaging pumps and other equipment and to reduce the load on other treatment processes in advanced stages of treatment is called “screening.” Screens are categorized into fine screens and coarse screens based on the screen spacing. Additionally, screens can be classified as manual or automatic cleaning depending on the operating type. They can be constructed with bars or perforations. In coarse screens, the spacings range from 40 to 100 mm, while in fine screens, they range from 10 to 40 mm.
