Water Treatment System Replacement
The installation of a drinking and utility water treatment system for the winter training center and facilities located within Ilgaz National Park was planned and implemented.
Technical Information
A sand filter system was installed to remove turbidity in the raw water, which is sourced from surface water and affected by seasonal rainfall. To reduce the hardness level of 23 Fr degrees to 0 Fr degrees, a softening system that operates continuously for 24 hours was set up. For the removal of taste, odor, and organic matter, a carbon filter system was installed.
To prevent the growth of microorganisms in the stored treated water, final chlorination was done to adjust the chlorine level to 0.5 ppm. To control the raw water in case of operational difficulties and chlorine dosing system failures, an ultraviolet disinfection system was installed in the post-tank building pressure line.
The dismantling of the old system and installation of the new system, along with the verification of analysis data according to TS266 Drinking and Utility Water Standards, was completed within a total of 4 days.
