Filtration Systems

Filtration systems are used to remove insoluble particles of various sizes, suspended solids, from water.

Arsenic Treatment

Arsenic is one of the most toxic elements that pose a threat to human health. Various methods such as precipitation, ion exchange, coagulation-filtration, membranes, etc., are applied in arsenic removal.

Saka Arıtım engineers carry out arsenic removal projects taking into account factors such as the flow rate of water, the amount of arsenic, desired water quality, ease of operation, expenses, etc.

In filtration systems prepared with the specially designed AS-FE-MN mineral for arsenic removal, the arsenic content in raw water can be brought to TS266 standards, and even values close to zero can be achieved. The water flow rate, arsenic content, and the ratios of other elements are taken into consideration in achieving these values. In cases where a value of exactly 0 is desired in the output water parameter, and in places where arsenic content is high, reverse osmosis systems are designed as a continuation of arsenic filtration.

During treatment, due to the accumulation of pollution load in the arsenic filter’s surface, over time, blockages and even more severe water pollution can occur in the filtration unit. In this case, the filtration systems are cleaned, and the layer accumulated on the filter is removed by supplying water in the reverse direction of filtration, in other words, a backwashing process is applied.

  • Valves with spherical valves
  • Backwashing with clean water*
  • Backwashing with raw water
  • Programmable automatic backwash
  • Backwash at a desired time of the day*
  • No-bypass during backwash (shutting off the water in the line)
  • Yes-bypass during backwash (not shutting off the water in the line)*
  • Backwash based on differential pressure*
  • Aeration with a blower*

Industrial Systems

These systems are designed for factories, social facilities, rural settlements, neighborhoods, towns, etc., with an hourly water consumption ranging from 5 to 20 m³.
